HareStare

Let me just say, I am one spoiled lady...LOL! My sweet husband bought me a crib camera to keep an eye on my expectant does. I LOVE it!!!!! Now I won't have to check on them every two hours, wondering if they are going to kindle on the wire or whatever. I can watch them live anywhere in the house with the portable monitor and not disturb the girls at all.

I so wish we had something like 'HareStare', for anyone not familiar with MareStare, its a website where farms have linked their cameras and anyone can open their cams and watch their mares that are due. I saw 3 mares foal the other day and it was so neat to see a live birth and the reactions of joy from their owners. Alerts were given when they went into labor so the owners could get to their mares in time. I sometimes wish I had extra eyes on my girls so I would know when they go into labor. I've had too many babies born on the wire or newborns suffocate in afterbirth that wasn't cleaned by the mother or cold dead babies left in with the live ones.
