How long can a kit live without milk?
You know, the little guy has a pretty big belly...I've been turning Piper over and putting the baby on her. Her mammary glands are not swollen and nothing can be expressed so I don't know if he's getting anything. Could it be possible? Is there hope yet he could make it?? I'll take pictures tomorrow. I'm going to go get Piper for the night feeding.

Big Belly is very good....
I like the sound of that.
Normally a kit would not last more than 2 days without milk.
Plump tummy is a very very good sign. Can you see white liquid under the skin? There should be a little white "bubble".
Don't count on how swollen the mammary gland is, I have seen does with glands looking all normal but could feed 6 kits full. LOL....
