Alright, obviously Piper never got any nest building lessens from her mom...lol. I have to give her credit for being a busy bee this morning working away at what she thinks is a fine nest. I pray she kindles during the day...I have a feeling she's wanting to have them out of the nestbox since she is moving the hay Out of it. Ah!
Also, we've had to lock everyone up at night. There have been a string of burglaries in our area of people going through storage sheds. Two nights ago we saw a suspicious truck driving slowly through our neighborhood. I know the locks won't prevent a theft but hopefully it will make them think twice(and we'll hear them!).

What stuff do you use for the nestbox liner? It doesn't look like my type of hay . . .
Thanks Ali! It's good to hear from you.:-) The bottom of the nestbox is a pressed wood bottom with tiny holes drilled in it. I haven't put anything other than hay in there...looks like I may have to add some more as she's been munching on it all day. Lol What do you use?? How is Solar's kit? I gotta go check your blog for updates, I must have missed the news about your new little kit.:-)

Piper's gonna kindle soon! Hope she have a super duper successful litter. Just my 2 cents worth, maybe you can reinforce the sides of the cage in case she kindles at night and the kits may wander and fall off through the wire.
