Well the last of the summer litters are being born, two of my homebred does kindled today...both were horrible first time moms so I'm praying they get it right this time! So far, so good! I haven't been able to check genders, let alone markings as they are all on edge at the moment and trying to figure out how to mother these kits. But it looks like Abby had 4 banded and Jennie had 2 banded. One more to go! Chloe is due on the 15th and that's it for the fall. Hoping to breed again in December for some babies to show next summer.
On a sad note, I lost one of the little sport does this morning. She got out of the nestbox and hung herself as she was trying to climb out of the cage. It was a horrible sight. :-( Ugh. These pictures were taken yesterday.
