Watermelon is taking over!

Well it looks like I may not grow anything but watermelon this year. Haha! It's taking over, and my kids love to go on the hunt for baby watermelons every evening. It seems like a new one grows into a grape over night!
our biggest one so far, its aboug 7" across, bigger than a softball for sure!

it's now invading my yard!
Babies are doing well, I'm trying to name them olympic names...heehee!

Tiny little show buck....Lochte or Phelps? :-P

I have really had some herd reductions lately, I went from having 2 holes open to now 5! Almost a whole stacker of buns gone. I have let some go I wouldn't normally have done but I will need the room for my new does coming at Convention. :-)

Chloe ready to go to her new home in a couple of weeks!

Oh, my! our squash is doing the exact same thing. It is EVERYWHERE!! Actually, today my Grandma and I went out and cut it back a little bit so the plant could give more nutrients to the bigger squash. :) It isn't so ''wild'' anymore. :)

Gabby! You have to have a Gabby, for the gymnastics girl.
Nice watermelon. Much better an overflow of that than zucchini. I have a 2 footer that I'm not quite sure what to do with.

Oh wow! What do you gals do about those 'squash bugs'? They look like stink beetles, they took over my squash and killed it all.

Yes! I will have a Gabby in this current litter. Heehee!

Yeh for Gabby!!! Those 'squash bugs' must be a Texas thing. Here in Utah zucchini is almost a running joke. It's so prolific you'll often wake up to a stack on your porch that a neighbor wanted to share (whether you want it or not). Wish I could transport some to you. I did have a squirrel eat my spaghetti squash plants, just as they were sprouting. Darn squirrels!
