Well, we've had kindling issues this morning and Pearl isn't doing well. This morning about 7am she started pulling fur so I set the cam up and watched her a while. An hour later she's still in the box so I go to check on her and yep, a breech baby. So I get her out to try to help pull. About 30 minutes of pushing/pulling I was able to get all but the head out. She was just exhausted by that point and contractions stopped. This doe needed oxytocin. So I called the vet and of course they want me to come in as if they don't believe me. lol So I do and he gives the oxy shot and we get the head out. She has 2 more in there so its a waiting game now. Pearl is tired and bleeding, she will need some recovery time after this birthing. I'm going to start some antibiotics as a prophylactic...poor girl. Send some bunny prayers our way as she is still in labor.

Hard to see in the pic but she's laying down beside her nestbox. |

I hope she comes through ok!
Still nothing... :'-(
Sorry Pearl's having such a hard time. I hope she'll be alright.
I hope everything will be OK Lindsey... praying! :) Keep us posted.
Oh my goodness. Lord, you know the situation. We lift Pearl up to You, Lord because what concerns us concerns You. I pray for healing and rest to come quickly for Pearl in Jesus' name.
I hope she recovers well. What is the camera thing you are using to watch her?
Thanks Paige, I have a crib camera that I set up in the barn. It's wireless so it transmits the signal to a receiver inside my house. I set it up to watch due does. This way I don't have to go out there several times a day checking to see if they are having kindling problems or what not. It has saved several babies as I'm able to get to the babies before they get chilled, if they're born on the wire. Just never know with these little critters. I got my crib camera at Target by the way, I think the brand is 'Summer'.
