There have been a lot of changes here lately and being behind on the blog deserves some time to catch up. Where to begin...well the babies are babies no more, all are just about weaned and doing well. I really enjoy their antics and seeing some personalities start to shine.
^See that tuft of hair on her ear? LOl So cute!
On a sad note, I lost my sweet doe Aviva yesterday. She was battling chronic issues for some time and her body finally gave out. I will miss her so much! She was the first keeper of mine that I had a 'connection' with and was just treated as my baby. I loved that doe. :'-(
There is a silver lining however, Amelia adopted her only living baby, Addison, who Aviva tried so hard to care for in her last days. Valentino passed away a week ago and so Addison is the only one left from this line. Even though Amelia's babies are weaned, she has started to produce milk again to grow this baby. What a miracle to see another doe adopt a baby as her own and her body to produce milk to care for this baby despite the nearly 4 week age difference between her biological litter and this one baby.
For Aviva...

Awww, Lindsey.. ='( I'm so sorry about Aviva. So glad that Addison is doing well, though!
((LOTS OF HUGS!))
I'm so sorry to hear about Aiva & Valentino.
What a miracle that Amelia showed her sweet side and has adopted little Addison! I hope all of Amelia's babies are doing well too.
Thanks Hope, She has really surprised me how sweet she is to this baby. I guess she was wanting to be bred when she went crazy on her own babies! She's so much sweeter to this little one though. <3
