Oh what a wonderful experience Convention was! We left around 5am on Saturday and arrived around 2pm in Wichita. Got the buns settled and then went to Board meetings the rest of the day. It was great to see all of the ADHRC directors in person and do 'official business'. ;-)
The next day was judging day, we were told that after the Netherlands were judged we'd have our shot on the table. Knowing how many there were, we figured it would be at least 5pm before judging started. At 3pm Patty called me and said it was our turn! So I rushed down to help be a runner for the tables. I just love helping get them up there and then watching how the judge poses and judges the class. I'm so glad I was there for the judging.
I only took 2 to show this year, both jr does, and I was so proud to place in the top 10!! Merci took 5th out of 32 jr does and Diva took 8th out of 32. I think that's pretty fabulous for my first convention! I'll have to take a picture of Merci and her tote bag award/ribbon tomorrow. So proud that a homegrown baby was among the best in the country. :-)

Picture taken by Sarah Owen, I forgot to take pics on the balcony. There were two showrooms, both just about equal in size | | | . |

She's about out of her cage! Not sure who's doe this was but she liked to 'hang out' when someone walked by and then backed up into her cage. |
