Well the possibility of owning a little farm in the middle of nowhere is becoming a real possibility! We signed the paperwork yesterday and now its inspection time. Talk about nerve-wrecking! I evaluated the barn and while I think I could get 72 cages in there I think I'd rather have the space and room for a show coop, feed room and not so many mouths to feed and clean up after. So....I have plans drawn up for 42 holes. That's plenty right? I just hope they fare the summertime well, that will be the deciding factor on whether we pursuit purchasing hanging cages or not. If the rabbits stress due to the heat or if it begins to look impossible to keep them cool without a $300 electric bill, then we will sell out and get into dairy goats. Time will tell.
