So I felt the need to post something else today instead of a rant...although I think the rant was needed. Lol! So, I'll answer a question I got in an email several weeks ago, "Why do you have your hand on the rabbits head in the picture? I can't see the eyebands." The answer is this, most of the ones I have my hands on either aren't trained to pose or are babies in training. I've found that by working daily with posing on my juniors that they tend to be still and 'set up' on their own as they are older. I actually have my pinkie finger under their chin to keep them from 'hugging' the table. So its not just my hand on top of their head, its supporting it in the correct position. I should do a video of posing the DH...will be a post for another day.:-)
Here's how I train them:

Here's my older baby that is trained, she poses correctly and keeps her head in the right position-not on the table and not like an ND.

This doe is not trained and fights me to pose her-see how her poor position makes her look flat and long. She actually has 4 GC legs and has depth, very nice gal but you wouldn't ever know with the picture.

Tomorrow's post: Tattooing!

I'd love to see an entire guide on what you look for in Dwarf Hotot type. It's one of the breeds I just don't have a handle on! :)
I agree with Keep! As a suggestion, post a second picture of the rabbit's head to show the eye band.
Great idea! I will work on that here pretty soon. Good suggestion April, I'll have to start doing that, I sorta started with the sale bunnies but I'm hoping I can get these babies trained so they will pose correctly for a picture on the black background.
Thanks girls!
